David Hochbaum - tracking invisible cities
events

* How to get to Strychnin Gallery:

Get of Aldgate East Subwaystation (District- or Hammersmith) turn left and walk 5 minutes in northern direction. the 6th junction to the right should be Hanbury Street one more minute and you're at Nr 65 - you're there!

Day 1:
Going to London, GB always feel special. London is the queen of all towns for me and after reading Neil Gaimans' NEVERWHERE i feel even more attracted to that city.

The first day is always too busy to be actually enjoyed, but when you've been to London before, you feel right at home. Even though i did not book a hotel in advance my first way is to Strychnin Gallery.

And there i meet old and new friends. David Hochbaum,
David Stoupakis, Daniel van Nes, Iris, Cookie, Graham and of course Yasha.

A quick lookaround, quick pix and a great first impression from the basement (a must-see if you go to London within the next 3 weeks*). Got me a decent hotel just around the corner and prepeared for the evening.

THE OPENING
At around 07:00 pm it gets started with a few cold free drinks and a closer look around the gallery.

Just check out all the pictures.

Day 2:
Got up to early and made my way to Tate Gallery, walked the whole way to the London Aquarium - too many tourists there.

In the evening we were all invited to theEmily Autum concert featuringAprella, David Stoupakis wife.

Afterwards we meet for a few drinks at the secret hideout of the Strychnin family.

Day 3:
Time to say goodby, a short visit to Covent Garden, a traditional way to say farewell to my favourite european town. A decent final coffee with Yasha and David at the famous 'Crusting Pipe' and off we go to Heathrow T5.

After usual delays we're finally home. Cheers to everybody and hang in there
